Guidelines for Filling the Online Application Form

Students applying for financial assistance under the scheme are required to carefully follow the instructions given below while filling the online application form at www.macassam.org.

Step 1: Registration

• Visit the official website: www.macassam.org
• Go to the Scholarship / Student Assistance section.
• Click on Apply Online.
• Register yourself with a valid email ID and mobile number (for future communication).
• Application End Date : 18/09/2025 Midnight.

Step 2: Filling the Application Form

• Enter your personal details (Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Aadhaar/Other ID).
• Enter your residential details (Permanent Address, Present Address, MAC Area details, etc.).
• Provide details of your educational qualifications and current course of study (Institution Name, Roll Number, Course, Year of Study).
• Enter parent's/guardian's details including occupation and annual income (must not exceed ₹3,00,000).
• Upload your bank account details (Account Number, IFSC, Bank Name) — account should be in the student's name.

Courses for which Assistance will be covered:

• M (Tech) / M.A. / M. Sc. in any Govt. Institution.
• B.E., B. Tech, etc. in any Govt. Institution.
• MBA in any Govt. Institution.
• MBBS / BDS / BHMS/ BVSc/ in any Govt. Institution.
• Any other Professional. Degree, Professional. Diploma or Post graduation courses are subject to approval by the Executive Council of MAC.

Eligibility:

• The applicant must be a resident of MAC area.
• Students belonging to Mising community but not residing in MAC area may also apply.
• The applicant must be a student of a current course.
• The students must not have received any scholarship or sponsorship from any other sources for the said course.
• Gross annual income of parents should not be more than Rs. 3.00 lakh per annum.

Step 3: Uploading Documents

All documents must be scanned clearly in PDF/JPEG format and uploaded in the Upload Section of the application form.

Mandatory documents include:

1. Recent passport size photograph.
2. Admission/Identity card issued by the Institution.
3. Income Certificate issued by a competent authority.
4. Caste Certificate (for Mising community students).
5. Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) / Domicile Certificate.
6. Mark sheets of the last qualifying examination.
7. Bank Passbook (first page) showing account details.
8. Verification/Certification by the Head/Principal/Dean of the Institution.

Step 4: Verification & Submission

• Ensure all details are filled correctly and documents are uploaded.
• Once completed, submit the application online.
• After successful submission, download/print the Acknowledgement Slip for future reference.

Important Instructions

• Incomplete applications or applications without proper documents will be rejected.
• Students must apply only once. Multiple applications will lead to cancellation.
• The application must be certified by the Head/Principal/Dean of the Institution.
• Applications submitted after the last date will not be considered.
• The Council will not entertain requests for changes after final submission.

Amount of assistance:

• This is a one-time assistance provided by MAC depending on availability of fund and total number of eligible applicants.
• Poorer among the applicants will be given priority.

Selection:

Selection shall be made strictly on Merit & Income basis which will be scrutinized, shortlisted and recommended by a Selection Committee.

Other Terms and Conditions:

• MAC reserves the right to alter, modify, interpret or withdraw the Scholarship scheme as considered necessary without any notice.
• The assistance is for students of any community of MAC areas and of Mising students from anywhere in India.
• The assistance will not assure or guarantee any employment.
• Court of jurisdiction for any dispute will be at Dhemaji, Assam.
• Application not in the prescribed format or received after the last date of submission of Application Form or not forwarded through the Head of the Institution with complete supporting documents are liable to be rejected.

HOW TO APPLY

Application can be applied through online mode only:

• All applications must be completed with every required field filled in, and all supporting documents uploaded in either JPEG or PDF format. The documents must be clear and legible; any documents with poor visibility will be rejected without prior notice to the candidate.
